ALTERNATIVE FLIGHT 2007
Helium Balloon Lawn Chair Flight
JULY 10, 2007 at Anton's Restaurant, Waite Park, MN
On July, 10, 2007, Karma Marketing & Media sent a lawn chair manned by
aeronaut Michael Given into the skies above Anton's Restaurant, Waite Park MN. Powered by clusters of helium-filled balloons, the chair achieved an estimated height of over 100 feet. Among the other brave souls who tried the lawn-chair flight was a 78-year grandmother from Waite Park.
Along with reporters from the St. Cloud Times, and local radio
stations, Jason Davis (KSTP-TV) provided extensive media coverage. Davis aired the Lawn Chair Balloon Flight story on July 29th on his popular "On the Road" program (Sunday evenings at 10:30 on channel 5).
A special guest appearance was also made by Freedom Flight - Hot Air Balloon.

Karma Marketing & Media has already appeared on Jason Davis's highly popular
show, On the Road, in December 2006, when company President Michael
Given bought a snowmaking machine in order to create a white Christmas for St.
Cloud businesses and homes during an extended snow drought. The Karma
Marketing & Media snowmaking promotion was the lead story on WCCO-TV's Evening News (reported by
Jason DeRusha on December 21). Given was interviewed by local radio and
Minnesota Public Radio, and the story and footage were broadcast nationally by
Fox News and The Weather Channel.

On July, 10, 2007, Karma Marketing & Media will send a lawn chair manned by
aeronaut Michael Given into the skies above Anton's Restaurant, Waite Park
MN. Powered by clusters of helium-filled balloons, this craft will be tethered
securely to ensure a safe but dramatic flight. Extensive media coverage will include Jason Davis (KSTP-TV), the St. Cloud Times, and local radio
station.

Have you ever dreamed of being carried into the sky by a giant bouquet of balloons?
The entire event will run from approximately 5:30-7:30 in the secondary parking
lot of Anton's Restaurant in Waite Park. Pre-launch activities include a demonstration and commentary by Prof. Kevin Haglin, Chair of the St. Cloud
State University Physics Department on the science of balloon flight.
The ground crew will answer technical questions and give everyone a chance to
sit in the flight craft (i.e. lawn chair). Snacks and soda will be on sale throughout
the event, and visitors will able to view the event from the upper deck at Anton's Restaurant.
The balloons are made of brightly-colored orange, yellow, and red latex.
